| There's a framed sign at the Code Shred offices that reads:
The secret to document shredding success? D.W.Y.S.Y.W.D.!
It's a conversation piece for our document destruction clients, a surprising number of whom get it right away: Do What You Say You Will Do!
Whether it's mobile shredding, paper shredding, document shredding, or any other document destruction service designed to help you comply with HIPAA, the Graham-Leach Bliley Act, or any other mandated privacy protection requirement, at Code Shred, we really do what we say we will do.
Prompt, Dependable Shredding Service
We always answer the phone. We come when we say we will be there. We pride ourselves on being on time. As one customer said, I can't believe it's been three months, and you not only answer the phone you actually showed up each and every time you said you would. No other document shredding company I know does that!
It's a sad fact, but many companies in the document shredding, paper shredding, document destruction, and mobile shredding business really don't answer the phone, or offer you the kind of shredding services you deserve. Many are one- or two-person shops that have lost sight of the fact that there are now many places you can turn to for your document destruction and document shredding needs.
Straight Talk about Pricing
These are the same companies that are coy about their pricing models. They won't give you a straight answer when you ask what it's going to cost.
Code Shred is different. Established and operated by businesspeople with extensive experience in serving businesses, Code Shred is committed to customer service and to complete transparency regarding pricing. As one client told us, You guys really are a breath of fresh air!
No Document Shredding Job Too Small!
That's why we offer such responsive turnaround times and why we're so flexible in the size of the job we'll handle. Other companies may take weeks to pick up your paper or documents for shredding. But if you tell us you need us to be there in two days, we're there! Other companies may refuse to pick up a single bankers box of documents for shredding. Code Shred will come for anywhere from one box to thousands or even tens of thousands of boxes or their equivalent. (This is an important detail for any business that must comply with Graham-Leach Bliley or HIPAA, regardless of the size of the business or the number of documents that must be shredded each month.)
The D. I. Y. Option?
Yes, you can buy a do-it-yourself shredder from Staples, Office Max, and similar stores, and they'll do an acceptable job. But they don't issue a Certificate of Document Destruction. And someone has to be paid to sit there doing the shredding. To say nothing of the need to set up a document shredding collection system.
We charge a pickup fee of $45, regardless of quantity. And we charge between $5 and $10 per bankers box. So if you've got two boxes, your total cost won't be more than $65. And you will receive a Document Destruction Certificate.
When you do the math, compared to the hassle and expense of paying someone to shred with a do-it-yourself system, Code Shred looks very good.
Certificates and Free Office Consoles
If you become a regular customer, Code Shred will even supply you, free of charge, with the bankers boxes you need, or with an attractive office console concealing a locked collection bin with a slot that your employees can use to deposit items for shredding. We also offer mobile shredding for customers who want to witness the process on-site.
In all cases, Code Shred issues a Document Destruction Certificate testifying to the fact that you have paid us for document shredding, paper shredding, mobile shredding, and what ever else is needed to comply with HIPPA and Graham-Leach Bliley. These certificates can go a long way toward convincing a court that you and your firm make every due diligence effort to comply with the law regarding document destruction and document shredding.
Code Shred: A Next Generation Document Shredding Company
The industry devoted to document shredding, paper shredding, document destruction, mobile shredding, and other aspects of privacy protection really began with the passage of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Nearly a decade has passed since that milestone, and many developments have taken place. Graham-Leach Bliley is merely the latest. What's needed today is a next generation document shredding and document destruction company. And that is precisely why Code Shred was created.
Give us a call. We promise to answer the phone. And you have our commitment that we will D.W.W.S.W.W.D.!
